Fish story: Stone Flies were on the water this week!!  It was a great thing to see these big wingy insects skittering over the water as they headed for the banks. The fish were happy to see them too! . Most fish have been taken on larger size 14-12 nymphs, but that pattern will begin to shrink as the week progresses without generation. We also have a good number of hybrid bass up around the dam, it should be a good time to try to land a good one up at the dam wall.    The afternoon fishing gives us opportunity to catch fish on top during these cold months so as you go out for an afternoon on the Sip make sure you have some dry flies. We use bi-visibles, caddis, cream midge, and parachutes to take fish on top.  The nymphs and buggers will work, its just more fun to have them on top this time of year.
